      • coconut oil, for frying
      • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
      • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
      • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa/ cacao powder
      • 1 cup buckwheat flour
      • 1/4 cup maple syrup
      • 1/2 cup water
      • 1/2 cup almond milk

    03 Method
    • Step 1
      In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients, except the coconut oil.
    • Step 2
      Mix until fully combined. Put in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
    • Step 3
      Heat a drop of coconut oil in a small pan over medium-high heat. Pour 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan. Lift the pan and tilt around to spread the batter evenly.
    • Step 4
      Cook for about 2 minutes, until little bubbles start to show, then flip and cook for a minute more. Remove from the pan and continue with the rest of the batter, adding a drop of coconut oil to the pan when required.
