Tempeh and Chickpea Sloppy Joes PT30M https://img3.recipesrun.com/201907/2019/1009/be/f/573157/300x200x90.jpg These vegetarian sloppy joes are so easy to make and they even have a delicious homemade BBQ sauce with them! They only take about 30 minutes so they’re great for an easy weeknight meal or a weekend BBQ. They’re also packed with tons of protein from the tempeh and chickpeas, which I think is so important for a vegetarian main meal. Enjoy! 6 servings Ingredients: coleslaw, optional 6 hamburger buns 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. mustard powder 3/4 tsp. smoked paprika 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. tamari 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar 1 tbsp. ketchup 1 tbsp. maple syrup 1 cup marinara sauce 15 oz. chickpeas, drained and rinsed 8 oz. tempeh, crumbled 1 clove garlic, minced 1/4 cup diced onion 1 tsp. olive oil
