Method
Step 1
In a high powered blender or food processor add the chickpeas, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, basil and 6 tablespoons olive oil.
Step 2
You may need the other 2 tablespoons olive oil if it is not coming together and creamy.
Step 3
Place in the serving dish, and sprinkle with additional sliced basil leaves, if desired. Serve with crackers and vegetables!
