      • 1 1/2 tablespoons Stone-ground mustard

      • 1 1/2 tablespoons Cider vinegar

    • Step 1
      Preheat oven to 400°F.
    • Step 2
      Heat a large, ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Step 3
      Add oil to pan.
    • Step 4
      Season chicken with salt and pepper.
    • Step 5
      Add chicken to pan, and cook 2 minutes on each side, or until browned.
    • Step 6
      Add broth, syrup, half of the thyme (1 teaspoon), and garlic to pan; bring to boil, scraping the pan to loosen browned bits.
    • Step 7
      Cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
    • Step 8
      Add vinegar and mustard; cook 1-minute stirring frequently.
    • Step 9
      Return chicken to pan along with any accumulated juices, and spoon sauce over the top.
    • Step 10
      Bake 10 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165°F.
    • Step 11
      Remove chicken from pan.
    • Step 12
      Heat skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes, or until liquid thickens to a syrup. Watch closely as the sauce will thicken quickly.
    • Step 13
      Serve sauce over chicken, and sprinkle with remaining thyme just before serving.
