      • 1/4 cup water
      • 8 oz. tomato sauce
      • 1 tsp. onion powder
      • 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
      • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
      • 1 tsp. garlic powder
      • 1 tsp. black pepper
      • 2 tsp. kosher salt
      • 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
      • 1 onion diced
      • 1 carrot shredded
      • 2 1/2 pounds beef chuck fat trimmed

    03 Method
    • Step 1
      Combine all ingredients except for tomato sauce and water in the insert of an Instant Pot and mix. Pour the tomato sauce and water and stir again.
    • Step 2
      Cover with the lid and turn to seal. Turn the steam valve to "SEALING". Press "Pressure Cook" OR "Manual" on "High Pressure", then increase time to 45 minutes.
    • Step 3
      Once 45 minutes has elapsed and the timer beeps, turn the pressure cooker off and allow the pressure to naturally release (about 10-15 minutes). Then throw a kitchen towel over the steam valve and release the rest of the pressure by turning the steam valve to "venting".
    • Step 4
      Crock Pot Option: Combine all ingredients but the water and tomato sauce and stir. Add the water and the tomato sauce and stir again. Cook on low for 7-8 hours, or on High for 3-4 hours or until the beef is fork-tender.
